Yancey-Lenseigne-Taylor

Madison Lenseigne and Aurora Taylor happily announce the engagement of their parents, Kristine Renee Yancey-Lenseigne to Dwayne Edward Taylor.

Kristine is the daughter of Bill and Maryann Yancey of Moxee.  Dwayne is the son of Linda Taylor of Yakima and Carroll and Linda Taylor of Moxee.

An August 2012 wedding is planned.

Khemelev-Fahsholtz

Erin Fahsholtz and Andre Khmelev merged cultures when they married on April 14, 2012. The international travel themed wedding, which took place at Spring Creek Homestead in Union Gap, Washington, welcomed family and friends from around the United States, Ireland and Russia.

The American-German bride and Russian groom met during the summer of 2009 while driving tour buses in Juneau, Alaska.

The bride is the daughter of Chris and Tammy Fahsholtz of Union Gap. The groom is the son of Anatoly Khmelev and Janna Lelchuk, originally of Petropavlovsk, Russia and now residing in Juneau, Alaska. Heather Walker and Jolie Bender-Rubio served as bridesmaids and William “Buddy” Howard and Theo Kennedy were groomsmen. Adam Fahsholtz, brother of the bride, carried a small suitcase with the rings and escorted his step-daughter, Genesis Espinoza- Coleman, flower girl, down the aisle. John King, friend of the bride and groom, performed a wonderful and sincere ceremony.

Erin and Andy would like to thank Alyson of Something Blue Floristry, Amy, Haley and Tavis of Memory Montage Productions, the Yakima String Quartet, DJ Adam Obert and Christie’s Cakes for helping make the day so memorable. As for the honeymoon, the bride and groom traveled 7-weeks backpacking through Europe and Russia before the wedding.

The couple are now living in Juneau, Alaska doing what brought them together; driving tour buses.

Cardenas-Gutierrez

Juventino and Guadalupe Cardenas of Moxee, announce the engagement of their daughter Maricela Cardenas to Uriel Gutierrez. He is the son of Jose and Ramona Gutierrez of Toppenish. The bride-to- be graduated from Wapato High School. The bride groom-to-be graduated from Davis High School.

A May 26 wedding is planned at Cascade Garden in Yakima.

Daily - 25 Years

Tim Daily and Jerri Fousha were married on May 23, 1987 at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Yakima.

Tim is employed at Yakima Federal Savings and Loan and Jerri is employed in Human Resources at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.

They have two children in college, their daughter, Jaime, is a senior at Central and son, Joe, will be a junior at Eastern in the fall.

They will celebrate with a party and a cruise to Alaska this summer.

Travis-Hutchens

Kim Travis and Randy Hutchens have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rod and Sherry Travis of Yakima. The groom-to-be is the son of Ron and Glenda Hutch- ens of Yakima.

The couple graduated from Eisenhower High School.

A June 16 wedding is planned in Yakima.

Elizabeth Chavez and Jilberto Moreno have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Carmen Perez and Jose Chavez of Yakima. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Maria Acevedo and the late Jose Moreno of Yakima.

A May 26 wedding is planned in Yakima.

Light - 60 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Light celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on the afternoon of May 19th at Christian Life Center. This special event was hosted by the family of Morris and Betty.

Mr. and Mrs. Light were married May 24, 1952 in Los Angeles, Calif. They have lived in Yakima most of their married life.

Betty retired from Snyder’s Bakery and Morris retired from the Bon Marche, which is now Macy’s. He was also co-owner with his brother Howard Light of “Light Brothers Appliance Sales and Service Co.”

Mr. and Mrs. Light have 5 children; Sharon Lyon (Mike), Mel Light (Linda) and George Light all of Yakima, also Clayton Light (Lynn) of Napa, Calif. and the late Sandra Younker (Steve) of Yakima. They also have 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Hoon - 30 Years

Chris & Sherry Hoon are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary.  They were married May 15th, 1982 in Buena.
Their children are Bob Story (Robyn) of Beaverton, Or., Brad Story (Janie) of Zillah.  They are proud grandparents of two grandsons, Jonathan & Levi of Beaverton.
Chris works in the wine industry for Sheridan Vineyard & Andrew Will Winery.  Sherry is a mail carrier with the Postal Service in Harrah and White Swan.
They will celebrate their anniversary with a trip to Long Beach, Washington.

Guggenheimer-Brown

Alison Burdette Brown and Joshua Dwight Guggenheimer were married July 16, 2011, at American Homestead, Naches, WA.

Alison’s attendants included her brother, Andy Brown, and friends, Kerri Fjeld, Ali Mathieu and Beth Pearson.  Josh’s attendants included his sisters Brooke Guggenheimer and Seleena McCoshin, and friends, Angela Whyte and Jeff Luckstead.  Emma and Garret McCoshin served as flower girl and ring bearer.

Alison Brown, daughter of Linda Burdette and David Brown of Yakima, graduated from Davis High School in 2001and Whitman College in 2005.  She graduates in June, 2012, from University of Washington Medical School and will move to Minneapolis, Minnesota, for her residency training in obstetrics & gynecology from the University of Minnesota.  Josh Guggenheimer, son of Darlene and Jim Jensen of Colstream, British Columbia, Canada, and Paul and Connie Guggenheimer of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, graduated from Correlieu Sr. Sec. in 2000, and received his BS, MS and PhD from the University of Idaho in Education with a concentration in exercise physiology.  Josh currently serves as an assistant professor of exercise physiology at the University of North Dakota.

The couple honeymooned in Bali.
