Siefring-Sunderland

Kenneth Siefring and Jennifer Sunderland were married on October 29, 2011 in Ceder Rapids, Nebraska.
Kenneth is the son of Mel and Linda Siefring of Toppenish. Jennifer is the daughter of Harriette Sunderland of Albion, Nebraska.
Matron of honor was John Cherek, sister of the bride and Brittany Masters, friend of the bride was bridesmaid. The best man was Robert Siefring, brother of the groom, and Dane Schneider, cousin of the groom, was a groomsman.
Special guests were Janice Gonzales and Edra and Hannah Harrison.
Kenneth  works  for  Keelers Medical  Supply.  Jennifer is a homemaker. The couple make their home in Yakima.

Diana Katherine Tipton and Casey Ryan Berg have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of John Charles and Loretta Tipton, of Yakima. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Corey and Ann Berg, also of Yakima. Both the bride-to-be and groom-to-be attended West Valley schools, and he graduated from the University of Washington. She is an e-commerce marketing consultant in Lynnwood, and he runs a granite and tile installation business in Seattle. A June wedding is planned at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Tara Wies of Yakima & Sam Westfall of Denver, Colorado have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be graduated from Davis High School and Yakima Valley Community College in Yakima and The Art Institute of Seattle. She is a Relationship Management Specialist for Trans First in Broomfield, CO.

The groom-to-be graduated from Old Columbia High School in Denver, CO and served in the U.S. Army. He is an Infrastructure Engineer for PEI Consulting in Boulder, CO.

A July 2012 wedding in Larkspur, Colorado is planned.

Charles Erwin and Cindy Bitz were married on February 14th, 1987, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Yakima.
Charles is a planner with Yakima County Emergency Management. Cindy is a paralegal with the Yakima County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Charles and Cindy have two daughters, Stacie of Cheney, and Kari, of Yakima.

Richard and Sandy Velasquez of Yakima will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this Friday, February 24th.
Richard is retired from the City of Yakima, Street Division. Sandy is a retired teacher.
They will be celebrating with a trip to Palm Springs and also a trip to Hawaii.
Richard and Sandy have two children, Rich of San Diego, CA and Lanaya of Sierra Vista, AZ. They have on grandson, Joshua of Sierra Vista, AZ.

Tait - 65 Years

Don Tait and Peggy Soderquist were married in Denver, CO on February 12th, 1947. They are celebrating 65 years together this week with several small gatherings of friends and family at their home.

Mr. and Mrs. Tait are both retired. Since moving to Yakima in 1955 they have raised six children; Chris Tait, Margy (Steve) Shell, Melanie (Michael) Murphy, Matt Tait, Ian (Debra) Tait, and Amy (Rocky) Parsley.

Peggy is a bread and quilt maker extraordinaire and Don is the “Piano-Man” at several Assisted Living facilities around the valley. They both thoroughly enjoy being Nana and Papa to 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Stephen and Lisa Krous of Yakima are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this Tuesday. Stephen Krous and Lisa Pastrana were married February 14th, 1987 at St. Joseph’s Church in Yakima.
Stephen is a federal employee. Lisa is the Assistant General Manager of the Yakima Valley Visitors and Convention Bureau.
They are lifelong residents of Yakima. Stephen and Lisa have twin daughters, Cassandra, of Ellensburg and Alexandra, of Seattle.
