The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rod and Sherry Travis of Yakima. The groom-to-be is the son of Ron and Glenda Hutch- ens of Yakima.
The couple graduated from Eisenhower High School.
A June 16 wedding is planned in Yakima.

Navy L.T.J.G. Brandon Allen Stewart will take place June 9, 2012 at the home of Cliff & Susan Reams of Prosser. Maggie is the daughter of Rob & Susie McK- inney of Prosser. Brandon is the son of Ron Stewart of Tampa, FL and the late Sharon Stewart. Maggie is a graduate of Prosser High School 2007 and gradu- ate of North West Hair Academy of Everett, WA. Brandon is a graduate of Jacksonville High, TX in 2005 and a 2009 graduate from Texas A. & M.
Elizabeth Chavez and Jilberto Moreno have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Carmen Perez and Jose Chavez of Yakima. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Maria Acevedo and the late Jose Moreno of Yakima.
A May 26 wedding is planned in Yakima.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Light celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on the afternoon of May 19th at Christian Life Center. This special event was hosted by the family of Morris and Betty.
Mr. and Mrs. Light were married May 24, 1952 in Los Angeles, Calif. They have lived in Yakima most of their married life.
Betty retired from Snyder’s Bakery and Morris retired from the Bon Marche, which is now Macy’s. He was also co-owner with his brother Howard Light of “Light Brothers Appliance Sales and Service Co.”
Mr. and Mrs. Light have 5 children; Sharon Lyon (Mike), Mel Light (Linda) and George Light all of Yakima, also Clayton Light (Lynn) of Napa, Calif. and the late Sandra Younker (Steve) of Yakima. They also have 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Chris & Sherry Hoon are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. They were married May 15th, 1982 in Buena.
Their children are Bob Story (Robyn) of Beaverton, Or., Brad Story (Janie) of Zillah. They are proud grandparents of two grandsons, Jonathan & Levi of Beaverton.
Chris works in the wine industry for Sheridan Vineyard & Andrew Will Winery. Sherry is a mail carrier with the Postal Service in Harrah and White Swan.
They will celebrate their anniversary with a trip to Long Beach, Washington.
Alison Burdette Brown and Joshua Dwight Guggenheimer were married July 16, 2011, at American Homestead, Naches, WA.
Alison’s attendants included her brother, Andy Brown, and friends, Kerri Fjeld, Ali Mathieu and Beth Pearson. Josh’s attendants included his sisters Brooke Guggenheimer and Seleena McCoshin, and friends, Angela Whyte and Jeff Luckstead. Emma and Garret McCoshin served as flower girl and ring bearer.
Alison Brown, daughter of Linda Burdette and David Brown of Yakima, graduated from Davis High School in 2001and Whitman College in 2005. She graduates in June, 2012, from University of Washington Medical School and will move to Minneapolis, Minnesota, for her residency training in obstetrics & gynecology from the University of Minnesota. Josh Guggenheimer, son of Darlene and Jim Jensen of Colstream, British Columbia, Canada, and Paul and Connie Guggenheimer of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, graduated from Correlieu Sr. Sec. in 2000, and received his BS, MS and PhD from the University of Idaho in Education with a concentration in exercise physiology. Josh currently serves as an assistant professor of exercise physiology at the University of North Dakota.
The couple honeymooned in Bali.
Jerry and Linda Kay O’Hara celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on May 16, 2012. Jerry O’Hara and Linda Kay Parish were married May 16, 1987 in Yakima, WA.
Jerry is employed by a Property Management Company. Linda Kay is employed by Yakima County.
The couple celebrated their wedding anniversary with a vacation to the Oregon Coast. A trip to Hawaii is also planned at a later date.
Rianna Medrano and Rob Westford are deeply in love and announce their upcoming wedding this June.
Rianna is the daughter of Julie Medrano of Yakima and Dan Medrano, recently of Bellingham. She moved to Bellingham in 2008, and works for Starbucks. Rob is the son of Jack and Nancy Westford of Bellingham. The groom is a Bellingham native. He owns and operates Westford Funeral Home and Broadway Hall.
The couple met through mutual friends at a barbeque in Bellingham. They will be joined in the Sacrament of Marriage at Church of the Assumption in Bellingham, where Rob’s grandparents, John and Veronica Westford, were married in 1935.
Tim and Shirley Britz celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 12th, 2012 with a dinner and dance at the Yakima Arboretum, hosted by their children.
Tim Britz and Shirley Heilman were married May 12th, 1962, in Toppenish.
They have remained in the Yakima Valley to raise all six of their children and are still living their “Happily Ever After.”
Their Children are Tim Britz Jr (Lisa), Debbie Walker (John), Bonnie Carter (Jeff), Sena Wilmoth (Matt), Bret Britz (Michelle), and Matthew Britz. They have 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The bride-to-be graduated from Wapato High School and from Washington State University and is a certified athletic trainer. She works for Dr. Graham Reedy of Auburn. The groom-to-be graduated from Renton High School and the University of Washington. He is currently a mortgage banker for First Priority Financial.
A Saturday May 19th wedding is planned at the Seattle Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Lat- ter-Day Saints in Bellevue. A reception is planned that evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Factoria building, 4200 124th Ave SE, Bellevue. The couple will be making their home in Renton.

The groom is the son of James R. Perry of Yakima, Constance and Dale Peck of Las Vegas. John attended Spartan School of Aeronautics and is a Programmer for Farwest Fabricators. The bride is the daughter of Joe Stanelle, Rick Thompson and Teresa Stanelle of Yakima.
The bride and groom both attended Franklin Middle School where they met in the 6th grade. It was love at first sight for Joanna and that year she told her friends she was going to marry John. John was slower to fall and in the 7th grade told his parents that he was going to marry Joanna some day. They were high school sweethearts, but went their separate ways. After 18 years apart they have finally found their way back to each other and will be celebrating the life they were always meant to have together.
The bride will be attended by Monica Juarez, Maid of Honor and friend of the bride. Bridesmaids will be Laura Ann Perry, daughter of the groom, Melissa White, sister of the groom, Whitney Aschenbrenner, friend of the bride, Kayla Scott and Tina Badillo, both nieces of the bride.

They have one daughter, Brandi Johnson of Yakima. They have four grandchildren, Victoria, Allysen, Aidan and Trevor.
Dale and Becky Miller of Yakima celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a trip to Maui accompanied by their daughter, her husband and their grandchildren.
Dale and Becky Miller were married May 8, 1982 in Yakima where they still reside.
Mr. Miller is the Controller for Valley Manufactured Housing in Sunnyside, WA and Mrs. Miller is a homemaker.
They have one daughter, Rachel Martin who teaches elementary school in Yakima and four grandchildren.
Rollie and Frannie McLaughlin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 4, 2012 with a family dinner.
This summer they will continue their celebration with a cruise to Alaska with family and friends.
Rollie (Ron) McLaughlin and Fran Torrez were high school sweethearts (Davis High School) and started their wonderful life together while Rollie was a freshman at Washington State University.
Since 1962 they have lived a rich and blessed life together, raising four children: two sons; Scott, a chef in Seattle and Daniel (Heidi) who owns the Buyers’ Agent in Yakima, and two daughters; Kiki (David) McLaughlin-Cook is a real estate broker with the Buyers’ Agent and Monica (Stacy) McLaughlin-Young who, after eight years in the U.S. Navy is in nursing school in Galvaston, Texas.
Rollie and Frannie have eleven grandchildren adn one great-grandchild.
